Piper Obstetrical Forcep is a specialized instrument that obstetric specialists used during complicated vaginal delivery. Its principal use is to delicately clamp the fetal head to permit the baby’s delivery. Piper Obstetrical Forceps are used to grasp, rotate, and pull the fetal head out of the vaginal canal, especially during forceps delivery and breech delivery procedures.

Piper forceps have long shanks that feature a pair of large fenestrated blades including a perineal curve to align the fetal head with the birth canal. Also, the handle features a lock system for self-retaining the jaws, which grants excellent control to rotate the baby if necessary.
