Hegar sounds are frequently used for gently dilating the mouth of the cervix during numerous gynaecological and obstetric procedures. This uterine dilator used in outpatient procedures such as intrauterine contraceptive device insertion as well as surgeries such as dilatation and evacuation, dilation and curettage and uterine biopsy. Hegar double-ended uterine sound dilator is a manual, probe-style instrument used to dilate the cervix. They are solid and hollow, nonflexible, and available in multiple diameters. Uterine dilators are slightly curved in opposite directions from the center and have smooth, rounded tips. The double ended hegar dilators avaibale individually as well as in 8 pcs and 14 pcs sounding kit.
